The Long Ryders - UK Tour 2026
The Long Ryders, pioneers of the American alternative country movement, bring their distinctive blend of punk rock, country, and folk to the UK with “The Long Ryders – UK Tour 2026.” Formed in Los Angeles in 1981, the band’s sound stands out for its jangly guitars and tight harmonies, evoking the spirit of 1960s folk-rock while infusing a raw energy reminiscent of early rock ‘n’ roll. Their debut album, Native Sons (1984), melded garage rock, country, and folk into a compelling soundscape lauded by Rolling Stone as a meeting point for Nashville, London punk, and the Sunset Strip’s mid-’60s flair.
Following a period of hiatus, The Long Ryders reunited in 2016 and have since continued to deliver fresh and vibrant music. Their recent album, High Noon Hymns, released in March 2026, is produced by Ed Stasium, noted for his work with The Ramones, and features notable collaborators such as Murry Hammond of The Old 97s and DJ Bonebrake of X. Their ongoing touring activity underscores their enduring appeal and dynamic live presence.
