The Tumbling Paddies 2026
The Tumbling Paddies have rapidly emerged as a captivating force in the Irish folk and country music scene with their uniquely energetic blend of traditional and contemporary sounds. Originating from County Fermanagh, this six-piece band combines Irish folk instruments like the fiddle, banjo, and accordion with modern influences spanning pop, rock, country, and even rap, crafting a style that is vibrant, fresh, and distinctly their own. Their music features spirited vocals from all members, often switching fluidly between English and Irish within the same song, reflecting their deep cultural roots and innovative approach.
Known for their engaging live performances, The Tumbling Paddies have thrilled audiences with catchy originals such as “The Way I Am,” an upbeat anthem celebrating individuality, and “Night On The Town,” which captures the lively spirit of an Irish night out. Their haunting rendition of “Spancil Hill” showcases their ability to convey profound emotion, underpinned by expert musicianship. Their songwriting is guided by lead vocalist Gareth Maguire and produced by renowned Irish country artist Derek Ryan, adding a seasoned touch to their fresh sound.
The 2026 tour, aptly named The Tumbling Paddies 2026, highlights their rising trajectory as they bring their unique Trad/Pop fusion to a wider UK audience. In October 2025, the band released the single Closing Time, further cementing their presence with a contemporary country flair that complements their Irish folk origins.
