The Tumbling Paddies UK Tour 2026
The Tumbling Paddies bring their distinctive Trad/Pop fusion to the UK with The Tumbling Paddies UK Tour 2026, an eagerly anticipated series of performances showcasing this young and energetic six-piece band from County Fermanagh, Ireland. Over the past four years, they have made a significant mark with their catchy original songs and inventive reinterpretations of traditional tunes, weaving Irish folk music with modern country music influences into a unique sound that resonates widely.
Comprised of Gareth Maguire (lead vocals, guitar, banjo), Ryan McGovern (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Ciaran McElroy (vocals, accordion, keyboard), Conor McManus (vocals, bass guitar), Darragh O’Reilly (vocals, drums, percussion), and Niall Murphy (vocals, fiddle, whistle), the band formed through a shared passion for Irish folk and an impressive group chemistry. Their music, influenced by icons such as Derek Ryan, Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons, and The Dubliners, carves out a space that blends traditional instruments like banjo, accordion, and fiddle with contemporary pop, rock, country, and even rap elements. Notably, their lyrics alternate between English and Irish, often within the same song, enhancing the cultural depth of their performances.
The band’s songwriting partnership includes Gareth Maguire and renowned Irish country artist Derek Ryan, who also produces their material. Their songs draw on personal experience and Irish identity with a sense of humor and heartfelt emotion. Recent releases include the single Closing Time, issued on October 17, 2025, which continues to develop their signature sound and live energy.
