Twinnie is back in the UK with a bang, making waves with her explosive return to the country music scene. With a brand new single, a highly anticipated album, and a gritty, tough-as-nails role in the hit series Emmerdale, Twinnie is proving she’s a force to be reckoned with. In our exclusive interview, Twinnie opens up about her journey, the inspiration behind her latest work, and how she’s balancing her passion for music with her acting career. This multifaceted artist is ready to take the world by storm once again.
Countrymusic.co.uk: Twinnie, your music has a unique blend of country and pop. How do you think your Yorkshire roots influence your sound?
Twinnie: I think my story influences my music the way I was brought up in a Romani Gypsy family. It was all about community and story telling. Every member of my family had a different taste in music so I think I took of that and made stuff my own. For the most part I just write the truth.
You’ve performed at iconic venues like the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. How does performing in the UK compare to the US?
It’s very different crowds depending on the venue. Places like the Opry and Listening Room are listening crowds – other venues are defo a lot more rowdy! My American friends do say that uk crowds definitely appreciate the music and listen more.
Country music is growing rapidly in the UK. How do you see the genre evolving here, and what role do you hope to play in that growth?
I would love to be the first British female to ever have an American country number one. There’s a lot of steps to take before we get there but I feel more than ever with country music being the fastest growing genre nothing is impossible. That’s just my mindset! I also wanna make Yorkshire and the UK proud.
Twinnie’s latest single: Hypothetically

“Hypothetically” marks a fresh and flirtatious new chapter for Twinnie as she transitions from her “sad-girl” era to embrace a more carefree, confident tone. Reviews have been glowing:
- …the songstress commanded attention in the new video as she slipped into a racy skintight leopard print romper. (Daily Mail)
- an absolute knockout, blending modern country-pop vibes with infectious 90s girl-power energy. From the first beat, the track hooks you with its playful yet introspective lyrics, offering a fresh perspective on love, possibilities, and what might have been. (Nashville Socialite)
- Twinnie’s flirty lyrics resonate with Decker’s confident style, creating infectious tunes that inspire listeners to embrace their bold sides (Music City Melodies)
What has been the most memorable moment of your career so far, and why does it stand out to you?
The Opry, it was magical and just different to anything I had experienced. Plus all my friends came that have supported me over the years it was awesome
