Brothers Osborne is a country music duo that consists of brothers T.J. Osborne and John Osborne. The brothers grew up in a musical family in Deale, Maryland, a small town on the Chesapeake Bay. They started playing music together at a young age, influenced by their parents, uncles, and cousins who also played various instruments. They performed in local venues and festivals, and later moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue their musical careers.
The duo signed with EMI Records Nashville in 2012 and released their debut single, "Let's Go There", which reached the top 40 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. They followed it with "Rum", which became their first top 30 hit in 2014.
Their breakthrough came in 2015 with "Stay a Little Longer", which peaked at number two on both the Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts, and earned them their first Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Their debut album, Pawn Shop, was released in 2016 and received critical acclaim and commercial success. It featured the singles "21 Summer", "It Ain't My Fault", and "Shoot Me Straight", the latter of which won them their second Grammy nomination in 2018.
The duo's second album, Port Saint Joe, was released in 2018 and showcased their diverse musical influences, ranging from Southern rock to outlaw country. It included the singles "I Don't Remember Me (Before You)", "All Night", and "Burning Man", a collaboration with Dierks Bentley that reached number one on the Country Airplay chart and earned them their third Grammy nomination in 2019.
Their third album, Skeletons, was released in 2020 and featured the singles "Hatin' Somebody", "All the Good Ones Are", and "Dead Man's Curve". The album received positive reviews from critics and fans, and was nominated for Best Country Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
