UK Country Artists on the Rise
British country makes a major impact on the chart this week, led by Gareth, whose One That Got Away surges 12 places from No. 14 to a new peak of No. 2 in its seventh week on the chart. It is a remarkable rise for the track, which was sitting at No. 34 just two weeks ago.
Elsewhere, The Shires climb nine places to No. 28 with Watching You Watching Me, while Ward Thomas are at No. 31 with Hold It All Together.
Chanel Yates continues her upward momentum with Char(lie), climbing another 10 places from No. 43 to No. 33 in its third week on the chart. There is also a new British presence in the Top 40, as First Time Flyers, collaborating with Nashville duo Striking Matches, enter at No. 36 with Do It All Over Again.
