Brothers Osborne have announced their fifth studio album, Watertown, arriving on 23 October, just weeks before John and TJ Osborne return to the UK for a major with The Darkness.
The Grammy, CMA and ACM Award-winning duo will bring their new era of music to British stages this December as special guests on The Darkness’ Bands Of Brothers Arena Tour 2026, beginning at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 8 December and taking in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Brighton before a final night at The O2 in London on 16 December.
Released via MCA / Snakefarm in the UK, Watertown takes Brothers Osborne back to their roots. The 11-track record is named in reference to their hometown of Deale, Maryland, the blue-collar waterfront community where the brothers grew up, and draws on both the sound of their beginnings and the experiences that shaped them.
The announcement also comes with new music. Brothers Osborne have released “Bottle It Up (SELLOUT EDIT)”, offering another taste of Watertown following last month’s “R.I.P.”
“We’re not just getting back to where we were born and raised, but to the roots of where we started musically,” says TJ Osborne. “A time when music wasn’t dictated by anything other than what our hearts and souls wanted to say.”
For UK fans, the timing makes Watertown particularly interesting. The album lands less than seven weeks before Brothers Osborne are back on British stages, following their successful UK and Ireland dates on the Might As Well Be Us World Tour in 2025.

Back to where it started
Watertown finds John and TJ in a more introspective mood, with its 11 songs exploring family in its many forms, alongside love, loss and the changes that come with different stages of life.
That connection to home was also central to the way the album was announced. The brothers returned to Deale for a surprise pop-up show at local favourite The Boathouse, where they revealed Watertown to a packed hometown crowd and gave fans an early live preview of the new material.

Brothers Osborne have reunited with longtime collaborator and producer Jay Joyce for the record, which also delivers a couple of firsts. Cody Johnson appears on album opener “Born and Raised Hell”, while Stephen Wilson Jr. guests on “Tough Kid” — the first featured collaborations to appear on a full-length Brothers Osborne album.
What are the ‘SELLOUT EDITS’?
There is an unusual idea behind the release of “Bottle It Up”. Ahead of the full album, Brothers Osborne will share shortened alternate versions of selected Watertown songs under the “SELLOUT EDIT” banner, reflecting the different ways listeners now discover and consume music.
Fans wanting to go deeper can access the full-length versions of pre-release tracks by joining the duo’s free The Family fan club.
“Our SELLOUT EDITS are a result of understanding where we are in 2026. It’s our way of meeting the people where they are,” John Osborne explains. “Our hope is that these edits will drive people to the deeper story.”
TJ sees the idea as an extension of something that has always happened to songs, particularly when they move from the studio to the stage.
“Songs aren’t static – they’re recorded one way, released another, played live yet another. All versions are valid, just like all interpretations are valid.”
That live element feels especially pertinent with the UK dates approaching. Brothers Osborne have long built their reputation around the energy of their shows, and December will give British audiences an early opportunity to hear how the Watertown material translates to the arena stage.

Watertown arrives in a milestone year for Brothers Osborne, who have also been celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut album, Pawn Shop. Over the decade since, John and TJ have earned a Grammy Award, seven CMA Awards and seven ACM Awards, picked up 13 Grammy nominations and amassed more than 3.4 billion global streams.
A decade on from the record that established their country-rock sound, Watertown deliberately brings Brothers Osborne back to the place — and the musical instincts — where their story began. And for UK fans, there won’t be long to wait before those new songs have the chance to make the journey from Watertown to the arena stage.
