Americana UK marks a major milestone this year with Americana 25, a full‑day celebration across two Liverpool stages – Rough Trade and the Quaker Meeting House – on Saturday 28th November 2026. Running from 1pm to 11pm, the event brings together leading voices from the UK and US roots scenes for a day of music, storytelling and community.

Headlining the festival is an exclusive UK performance from Chuck Prophet and The Echo Strings, featuring a four‑piece string quartet for a fresh, orchestral take on Prophet’s acclaimed catalogue. Also appearing are Steve Wynn of The Dream Syndicate, The Often Herd, and Dean Owens, whose recent collaboration with Calexico earned widespread praise. The lineup continues with Drew Danburry, returning to the UK for the first time in over a decade, alongside homegrown favourites Danny George Wilson, Peter Bruntnell, Our Man in the Field, Smalltown Jones, Elaine Palmer, My Girl The River, Ella Spencer, and Liverpool’s own Barry Jones. A special Songwriters Circle featuring Danny George Wilson, Jason McNiff, and Elaine Palmer rounds out the day.

Tickets are priced at £38 (standard) and £48 (solidarity, including a free festival programme). All profits will be donated to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) – a reflection of Americana UK’s ongoing commitment to compassion and social justice.

About Americana UK

Founded in 2001, Americana UK has grown from a small online hub into one of the UK’s most respected voices championing roots, country and Americana music. The site has spent 25 years connecting artists and audiences through reviews, interviews, features and live coverage — helping to build a thriving UK Americana community that values authenticity, storytelling and musical craft. Its editorial team has consistently supported emerging talent alongside established names, offering a platform for artists whose work bridges the Atlantic in spirit and sound.

Beyond its digital presence, Americana UK has become a trusted partner to festivals, promoters and musicians across the country, shaping the conversation around what Americana means in a British context. The Americana 25 event celebrates that legacy — a quarter‑century of dedication to roots music and the people who make it.
