Cleethorpes launches its first ever Clee Country Festival in 2027, a two‑day outdoor celebration of live country music, great food, friendly faces and the spirit of summer. Set at Meridian Showground, the event brings together live performances, food vendors, a licensed bar, family‑friendly entertainment and limited motorhome parking.

The full line up will be revealed over the coming months, but one artist is already confirmed. Taynee Lord, the powerhouse vocalist blending Nashville twang with British heart, will take to the Clee Country stage. A No.1 iTunes star, award‑winning songwriter and electric live performer, Taynee delivers anthemic, soulful songs full of attitude. Her appearance sets the tone for a festival built on passion, storytelling and world‑class country talent.

The Story Behind Clee Country

Clee Country is the vision of Kerry and Phil, two lifelong music lovers whose paths into country music took different routes but arrived at the same destination.

Kerry’s Story

Kerry grew up with the classic sounds of Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Glen Campbell, developing a deep appreciation for great songs and heartfelt storytelling. Her modern love of country began when she discovered Kezia Gill at a garden party hosted by Phil, sparking a passion that led to countless gigs and festivals. A shared road trip through Nashville, Memphis and Las Vegas in 2025 convinced her that the energy of American country music could be brought home to Cleethorpes.

Phil’s Story

Phil’s connection to country music began in the early 80s with Don Williams, Willie Nelson and the theme from The Dukes of Hazzard. With more than 15 years in live entertainment through Road Runner Discotheques, he has built friendships with leading British country artists. A memorable evening in Leiper’s Fork with members of Waylon Jennings’ original band strengthened his love for the genre. Creating a festival felt like the natural next step.

Together, Kerry and Phil want to put Cleethorpes firmly on the summer country music map. Even before the first edition has taken place, plans for 2028 are already underway. Their welcome is simple: join us in Cleethorpes, enjoy the music and soak up the best of North East Lincolnshire, from ice creams to fish and chips.

Friday: Gates open 2.00 PM, music from 4.00 PM
Saturday: Gates open 9.30 AM, music from 11.00 AM
Motorhomes: Last entry 3.00 PM
Event finish: 11.00 PM

Tickets

Clee Country is a family‑friendly event. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Children under 14 have their own ticket pricing.
