Elles Bailey is a celebrated English singer-songwriter known for her distinctive blend of Americana, blues, and country music. This illness left her with a husky, deep voice, which later became her signature sound. Influenced by her father’s record collection, which included blues and rock and roll from Chess Records, Bailey began her musical journey fronting a local indie rock band before transitioning to the blues and Americana genres.
Bailey’s professional career took off with the release of her debut EP, “Who Am I to Me,” in 2015, followed by “The Elberton Sessions” in 2016. Her first full-length album, “Wildfire,” was recorded in Nashville and released in 2017, showcasing her talent for blending soulful vocals with rootsy instrumentation. The album’s success led to extensive touring across North America and the UK, establishing her as a formidable live performer. Her subsequent albums, “Road I Call Home” (2019) and “Shining in the Half Light” (2022), further solidified her reputation, with the latter reaching number one on the Official Jazz and Blues Albums Chart.
